ABC Northeast Provider Information
Colorado Access was awarded the contract by the State of Colorado to be the Behavioral Health Organization for Cheyenne, Elbert, Kit Carson, Larimer, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma counties, beginning July 1, 2014. These services will are now under the Access Behavioral Care (ABC) benefit program.
Beginning with services on or after July 1, 2014, you will need to be contracted as a Colorado Access provider for Access Behavioral Care to continue to provide Medicaid-covered behavioral health services. If you are currently treating Medicaid members under a contract with Value Options and do not wish to become a contracted Colorado Access (Access Behavioral Care) provider, your patients will need to find a contracted provider in order to continue to receive services covered by the Access Behavioral Care program.
If you are currently a contracted provider for Access Behavioral Care through Colorado Access, you will be able to continue to see Access Behavioral Care Northeast members. You do not need a contract amendment. Similar to ABC and other Colorado Access lines of business, no prior authorization is required for routine outpatient services.
We are working closely with Northeast Behavioral Health Partnerships and the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to ensure a seamless transition.
